This is the 2nd installment in the Sinners of Saint Amos story and we now find ourselves in the midst of so many secrets and lies and twists and turns that I had no idea what to expect next. Which is a very good thing because that means the book never lost my attention. Just like Trinity, I find myself torn between the boys but I also found myself really suffering with them as we learned more of their backstories in this book. The author really knows how to spin a tale and she's given these characters such intense depth. I've gotten pretty good over the years at predicting what will happen next in a story, but with this trilogy, I have no clue what's going to happen! And just when I think I found the true villain, I'm surprised by their vulnerability only to second-guess myself again later. I mean, this story really keeps the reader on their toes. And I LOVE it!
