A triggering read for me. The protagonist is naïve, silly and culturally ignorant. Because of this she clashes with the (toxic) corporate culture she cannot comprehend at her workplace in Japan. The protagonist is the unreliable narrator of the story and is prone to exoticising the Japanese culture and making some culturally reductive statements. As usual I am smitten by the absurd and satirical flavors.
