Parts of the plot were a little too predictable and neatly wrapped up for my taste, but I really loved the family relationships. I have one cousin that is like a sister so I know that’s special; this book had me wishing we had a bigger family. I enjoyed Rita’s story and wish there was more about Jemel and Shanae too, but maybe that’ll be in a future story.
