I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: a few open-door spicy scenes
TWs: abuse, assault, domestic abuse, drugging, medical infertility, sexism, stalking (implied)
Kinky Content: oral, phone sex
standalone: Power Play Off the Ice series- interconnected standalones
final thoughts: there was a lot packed into this under 200-page book but I enjoyed it! if it was longer, I felt like there was a lot more that could’ve been gone into that was glazed over or resolved too quickly in this book.
The writing was easy to read, the storyline was (mostly) easy to follow, the angst was perfectly angsty without being stressful, and the pining was great.
It was a slowburn romance with a lot of banter, β€œwe shouldn’t”, pining, and forced proximity.
