For a few heartbeats, the world fell away, and there was only the two of them. No kingdoms or empires, no crowns or armies. Only touch and breath and an endless love.

can't believe how long it took for me to finish this book.
I actually liked it, but somehow it didn't do it for me. I don't know exactly what was about it that just didn't work, and I get it's difficult to just end everything in a duology specially when there's strong political aspects in it.
there were a few surprises and I liked all the characters, the new and the old ones. I love how you can see other's stories through the mc's eyes (so happy for so much of arenlara! I thought they would only had a cameo but they had a lot of time in the book!)
but still, I felt the build up came more and more strong and then.. it all faded. felt even anticlimactic, and even tho I love a good word fighting lol I actually looked forward to a match or something idk.
I wouldn't say I'm disappointed but I didn't love this book as much as I expected to.
still, I'm happy for the ending, and I'm satisfied with the choices the characters made.
can't wait for ahnna's story.
