Not only is this incredibly well researched, but it is so insightful, well argued, and both sex positive and sex worker positive which I appreciate so damn much. It also made me think more about what I know about religion and those who follow religion and how there are many different interpretations and retellings of religious texts, as well as censorship. I haven’t learnt so much and been so engrossed in a book like this in so damn long. This is one of those books that I think many people need to read but I know sadly, many won’t. The comic strip section is really quick to read but really interesting, but the afterword, notes, and bibliography sections are really where you see Chester Brown’s work and research. Absolutely fascinating.
