I didn't hate this book, but i do have a whole bunch of issues with it. There were so many times i felt like banging my head against the wall. The one i want to bring up first though is the Arthurian love triangle. Just be a fucking triad! All three characters seem to be in love with each other, theres an easy answer to this... I also disliked pretty much everything to do with Darien, i found his character, and the way everyone treated him incredibly annoying. The last thing i found infuriating in these books was the roll of fate, i do not like the idea that everyone is just a pawn, and the one time someone has agency and goes against their fate it leads to death and destruction. Ugh
