The Source of Self-Regard: Selected Essays, Speeches, and Meditations by Toni Morrison

"After that how can I be content with one simple color?"

If I had an altar to to goodness, to Hope, to doing one's work, to dreaming a new and better world, then this book with her photo at the center of the back cover, would be in the center of that altar.

Not only her words, but her image, remind me of my adoptive great-grandma. The exortation and the common good sense is refreshing, and inspiring.
