The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon
5.0
"People who are afraid of the truth never find it."
This book is so emotional. I had wholly accepted that this will rip me apart as the prologue of the story did set up that expectation. I was literally waiting for one of them to die so it won't hurt too much but like what it said on the first part, it will still make your heart ache.
AND IT DID! The story felt so long but I never complained. The journey of Moses and Georgia has been a roller coaster of emotions. I love both the characters. Behind all those darkness, they were sassy, teasing and fun to read. I enjoyed hurting and crying for both of them. Moses is a very, very special person and I love how he is, cracks and all. Georgia is a woman of strength and I adore how she loved Moses unconditionally.
The story is not just an emotional love story but also got a hint of mystery. I loved how Moses' special gift of seeing the dead unfolded everything. I'm so genuinely happy that everything eventually ended happily. It felt like I've been a part of their life and been cheering them on since the start. I'm so glad that they were able to start a new life.
And I just want to add that I love how Amy Harmon's writing kept me glued on this book. Her words are phenomenal and I savored everything in. She's a pure talent. She's officially one of my favorites.
