Ugh it was FINE. Long's writing is still unmatched but I just felt like I never got to know Ian Eversea very much at all, especially in comparison to other books in the series. Also it didn't really make sense to me how all of sudden Ian and Tansy liked each other after him literally being unable to stand her for weeks? And how she instantly sheds her shyness around him and is "her true self"? I felt like we could have worked more with Tansy and Ian's shared recklessness as a reaction to loss. I did like how he publicly embarrassed himself over her though, that is always top tier.
