Ahhh okay. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Do I have so many issues with the writing, plot, character development, and really everything about it? Also yes. Once again, the writing is trying so hard to be profound and it became extremely redundant early on. And for all that work the author put into making every sentence intense and pseudo-eloquent, there was so much of the plot and world-building that felt like it was left to do itself. I liked the first book so much more and I don’t feel satisfied with the ending (even though I’m sure we’re gonna get an announcement any day now that Margot & Beelzebub will have a duet next). And this is minor but was there really nothing more creative than naming the different witches by colors??? Anyways I may or may not decide to read the next books im sure will be part of this series, because this felt like I had to do a lot of work as the reader to make it enjoyable and look past the flaws.
