I became to love the character of The Darkling and seeing his childhood was really painful. I knew that he had it hard because of the times and his strange power and his mother, but I completely left out the amplifier side of him out of my head.
I think that if Bardugo ever decided to make a whole book just out of The Darklings memories it would be wort it. The only problem about this story is that it's too short (like this review :D).
