This book was a definite improvement over the last one, it continued the story nicely. I really enjoyed how Aphrodite has grown as a character but her personality is still there, I also liked the addition of Darius ||who is definitely gonna be good for her||. I am very emotional when it comes to books, I didnt shed a tear when stark died (possibly because he was only there 2 minutes and I know he comes back) but when Jack comforts Dutchess I definitely sobbed||. I love Grandma, she is the best and she is such a strong woman ||if somebody hasn't done fan art of that scene where she uses wind to attack that raven mocker I will be very dissapointed||. Spoiler for future books ||I am so glad I knew Grandma was fine when reading it this time, I still hate that they hurt her tho||. I love the nuns in this book, especially sister Mary Angela, it is an excelllent way to show how different faiths and beliefs can co-exist without disrespect, I also like how the nun makes Zoey realise that one bad section of a group does not make the entire organisation bad. As a teenager I loved Stevie-Rae, now im not so sure, I think I will like her more when ||Rephiam comes into the picture|| but for now, mehh. I don't like the way they portray Erik as unreasonable in these books, there is no reason he has to forgive Zoey,|| she cheated on him, yes she was manipulated but at the same time she cant have cared that much about him or she wouldnt have been so easily manipulated, then she fell for Stark after knowing him for five seconds, Erik is clearly an afterthought to her||. I can certainly see what pulled me into this series as a teen while still being able to see its flaws now as an adult, I hope memory serves me well and the series improves as I go but even if not, its not a bad series, a little problematic at times and full of teen drama but a creative story.
