It was very rapey. I wasn't keen on women being all betrayed as pretty much baby makers. The characters were rather one dimensional. Patroclus reminded me of Pants from the Oatmeal. The only thing really driving it was the plot, but that's pretty much the same as the Iliad so I gave up. I was about 200 pages in.
