This book was hilarious, with laugh out loud quirky humor. I think the reluctant psychic aspect added to the ridiculousness of the story and made it more fun; I would have had a harder time suspending my disbelief if that element wasn’t included in the story. Though it felt like some answers were just handed to Riley in the great beyond, which made the mystery less clue driven. I loved the genre mixing of the paranormal mystery and romantic comedy! The relationship progression was fun and funny to watch, and I was all on board with it except feeling like the one spicy scene seemed like it was trying too hard to be in the book. This book didn’t feel long at all as I enjoyed every minute of it, though the end got exceptionally ridiculous, especially with the lack of consequences. I bought the other two books currently available immediately and am excited to dive in and see Riley and Nick in action again.
