My first Murakami read and it DID NOT disappoint. Man-Eating Cats and Hanalei Bay have to be my favorite stories from this collection and The Rise and Fall of Sharpie Cakes, god, what a bizarre yet captivating story. Cheers to Murakami for coming up with all this stories that, at first glance, we might as well never pay attention to, but the moment we do, they won’t let us go away anymore.
