3.5/4. I enjoyed Calder and Robby as characters a lot. Calder is a little broody, very artistic, and so sweet to Robby. Robby is so kind and genuine. Together, they’re really sweet, too. I like that Robby grounds Calder and I love how they were so attracted to each other so immediately. I also enjoyed the mystery aspect of who broke into Robby’s home and why, as well as his past catching up to him. Likewise, I enjoyed that Calder had this secret he was carrying around that made him feel like he wasn’t worthy of good things. What I didn’t love, which I believe is not the book’s fault, but personal preference, is the cult/religious storyline. And why? I’m not sure. I love cult stories. I enjoy stories that explore religion in meaningful ways. So what was it here? If I knew, I’d share because this is proving to be a rather unhelpful review. Overall, I love these two together and I enjoyed their story, but it is probably my least favorite Elite Protection book. 3/5 spice levels.

Notes: virgin MC, body guard/client, religious trauma, cults, blushing MC, family trauma, past abuse, age gap
