Beautiful. Sometimes you read books with relatable heroines because you want to see yourself in a love story. I got that, but I also read a woman do the emotional work that I’ve been putting off. Stella fell in love with Damian and herself and watching her work through grief, people pleasing, and trauma was something I didn’t know I needed. Sometimes you need to hear you’re more than enough.

This story has a lot of triggers so I advise researching before reading. However, I thought they were handled with respect and accuracy. Both Stella and Damian come from pasts filled with trauma and respond to it differently they truly deserved the purest kind of love and found it in each other. At a certain point I told myself it was way too easy how they got together and with perfect timing their relationship was tried and the conflict added to their relationship and to them as individuals. 

There are so many amazing quotes in this book that make you think, reflect, and squeal because Damian Blackstone might be the sweetest man I have ever read. An amazing concept and story. I can’t wait to read the next book and the previous books in the series.
