I see that this book got a lot of flack for being hard to follow or confusing. I had the opposite problem. I feel like the author did a good job taking us on a journey. Drop any preconceived notions and follow it as a story that is going to time and character skip, really read what these characters are saying and know that the author will explain everything as time progresses. It's like a fun puzzle it was intellectually challenging and stimulating and very fun to watch everything that previously didn't make sense on it's own come together. I really like the way the author spoke about trauma and dark themes without focusing on the gory details. It makes the characters experiences feel more relatable and doesn't take away from the story. I'm sad that this is the only book in the series so far and I can't wait to read more.
