Really enjoy the series. I like the mix of a PI novel with fantasy characters. In this story Garrett is tasked with helping with the recovery of a high profile kidnapping. As he gets farther into the plot he discovers there is much more going on. In the end, Garrett gets his chance to solve the case and sorta save the girl.

The only reason I have given this story a three is because the writing is a little rough. Recommend to anyone interested in a PI story with a mix of fantasy. It is very similar to urban fantasy but the world setting is 'our' urban.
