A Year In The Merde by Stephen Clarke

5.0

This book is hilarious and so true when it comes to describing the French.
I laughed from the first till the last page.

The main character, a 20-sthg guy who goes off to France to work on a company project, has to deal with all the annoying habits of the French, and try to get use to their lifestyle.

People constantly cutting the line, the really rude waiters, going on a kayak day trip with school, to find yourself crossing a nudist camp at age 14 (that last one wasn't in the book, it's all me), all the crap you have avoid walking in the street, the constant strikes... oh I know it all! When you live with it, it's not funny at all, believe me, but the way the author describes things, and his way to handle them really cracked me up.

If you ever lived in France, you have to read this.
