I understand why this book was so well-rated. I loved the characters and the alternating perspectives. I loved the story. I loved Wavy and Kellen's relationship...until it got sexual. That's messed up, and I think this book would have been perfect had they been just friends or had a familial relationship. Kellen still could have been accused of harming Wavy without the explicit descriptions of statutory rape and Wavy talking about her ~pleasure.~ She was thirteen!!! He's at least ten years older than her!!!

I was so hoping their relationship would have stayed platonic. I'd like to know more about the author's perspective.
