Passenger Princess by Morgan Elizabeth
4.0
Such an enjoyable read!
When Ava, unexpectedly, wins a pageant and is crowned Miss Americana, she’s set to go on her reigning tour, supporting a cause that’s important to her. Enter bodyguard Jaime. While Ava is visiting each state, giving attention to women-owned businesses, they learn more about each other and shenanigans ensue.
I found this book very fun and quick to read. It was a day read and, while not deep necessarily, it had a good story going with it. Jaime and Ava learn some things about each other (like Jaime learns now to judge Ava based on appearance) while going on a road trip. The book is well named since Ava IS in fact THE passenger princess. Seriously, she has all her passenger princess accessories ready to go and it was great!
While I was a little slower to warm up to Ava (especially after making Jaime think he had lost her while on an assignment), eventually I came around to her and she seemed to realize the error of her actions. She started taking her safety seriously and I appreciated that she let Jaime teach her some self defense moves.
Overall, this was a fun read and a recommendation for anyone that’s looking for a cute grumpy/sunshine tropes between a romance reading pageant winner and her exhausted bodyguard.
Thank you Morgan Elizabeth and team for allowing me to ARC read this book!
