The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma

Really enjoyed this one! To sum up, we have two narrators and time periods connected (eventually) by one character, a convicted teenage murderer. One is the girl's former best friend, the other her future cellie. It's clear up front that the official story of what happened in the smoking tunnel during the dress rehearsal of a ballet showcase is not accurate at all, but figuring out what happened early doesn't spoil the story at all. In fact, it's probably intentional and adds to the tension in this twisty haunted house (among other things) story.

I also appreciated that the murder itself is really pretty satisfying.
