Absolutely loved this one. The relationship between Aicha and Paul, Paul's humour, his past and the heavy themes touched upon with a light touch and with a great deal of respect plus the historical background all added to make this short read quite a worthwhile one. I know I will be reading more from this series and this author!! This would appeal to everyone who loves urban fantasy, alternate histories, and some plain good old fantasy, and strong female characters.
