Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare
3.5
Ultimately, Julius Caesar is one of the heavier plays to read by Shakespeare. It's political and informative (without being very historically correct of course), rather than entertaining. That being said, it was fun to reread this one! I read it once for a uni course, but I didn't pay much attention back then. Julius Caesar offers room for thought on fate vs. choice, and on the morality of Cassius' and Brutus' treason. It's also an interesting character study, more so when it comes to Brutus than the other characters. It has several very iconic lines, which I love reading in their respective contexts. All in all, I had a good time reading this, but it's not a new favorite.
