Damnation by Jean Johnson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.
I started reading this series many years ago - maybe 2016/2017? I loved the first two books, really enjoyed the third, liked the fourth, and DNF'ed this last one. That could entirely be because my reading tastes just changed over the years I read this series, and the series was no longer for me.

Upon starting this installment I was immediately irked with Ia in a way I don't remember being in the first 4 books. She can do no wrong! She knows everything, always, and I felt like my head would explode if I read the phrase "massive precog" one more freaking time. Johnson introduces small pieces of the plot that Ia can't foresee, or that had a small possibility of happening, but it's just not enough to make up for Ia's all-knowing-perfection. At this point in the series, multiple worlds know that Ia is a precognitive that is saving the world, we don't need her to mention it in every. single. paragraph.
