The Seven Good Years by Etgar Keret

4.0

I picked this up more so because I'm an Etgar Keret fan than because the premise of the book intrigued me, but I have to say, I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. Liking an author's books from one genre doesn't mean you're going to like what they write in another, but Keret delivers just as much humor in these memoir/essay pieces as he does in his fiction. And there's a poignancy underlying them, too, that speaks to how defining those years when he was both son and father were for him. A quick, enjoyable read.
