The Surrogate Mother by Freida McFadden
fast-paced
4.0
This book stressed me out and made me thankful for my trust issues. If you love lifetimes moves, this book reads just like one. It’s so freaking wild but you can’t stop listening. I have no idea how these characters were so trusting. I found myself on my walk, while listening, making the craziest faces🤣 I’m having the best time listening to Freida McFadden’s books even if the characters are most of the time idiots. This book deals with a couple struggling to have a baby on their own. That might be super triggering for some so keep that in mind. Writing reviews of these books is so hard because any little thing can give twists away. This one was a lot easier to guess but still was fun seeing it all play out. I actually knew the big twist early on but figured I was going to be wrong. The lengths people will go to have a baby and the way others prey on that really makes me upset. Now that I’m done with this one I’m going to take a break from her books for a few days. My anxiety can’t handle it 🤣
