The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman

4.0

I have mixed feelings about this book. I like the world and the characters - although some such as Bradamant felt very one-note for the majority of the book. The magic system is intriguing, as is the very idea of an interdimensional library. I think my biggest issue is how much is going on all at once. There are several sub-plots and while they were all wrapped up fairly satisfactorily, it did clutter the story a bit. Despite this weakness, I didn't have a problem getting through the book and am excited to read the next installment, My hope is that with the foundation built in this book, the next will not feel quite as crowded. Irene and Kai are fun protagonists, and I am looking forward to their next adventure.
