This story is delightful! Of the four books in this series, this just might be my favorite (though I think you should read the original trilogy first to truly appreciate it).

I love the mentor/mentee relationship between Alvie and Praff - they are both kind and eccentric intellectuals. And Bennett is simply the best! It was great getting a deeper look into the magic system and how it is used in every day life.
