The Walking Dead, Vol. 10: What We Become by Robert Kirkman
5.0
A lot of people seem to no like this volume as much, but I would have to strongly disagree. This is one of my favorites so far. This is a strong character development volume and I really enjoyed it. We got to learn a lot more about Abraham and his back story with how his family died, and him and Rick have an important discussion about what it means to survive and what's right and wrong when it comes to killing people. I love how this started with a flashback of Rick and Carl before the apocalypse started and how even then Rick felt like he couldn't keep him safe. Rick is having hallucinations and thinking he's talking to Lori out of guilt. I actually really like the addition of Abraham and his group. Their characters are interesting.

So Maggie tried to hang herself and that was really sad and unexpected. Abraham nearly killed her when he thought she was dead, but thank god he didn't. I love that a HUGE iconic moment in the show finally happened in this volume! I'd been waiting for it. The scene where Carl nearly gets raped and Rick bites into that guys neck. It was amazing and happened almost exactly like it did in the tv show which made me so happy. Then Abraham and Rick have this amazing heart to heart and discover they aren't so different after all. Then, we finally see Morgan! Which is another exciting thing. his son is a zombie that he has yet to kill, and he seems to be a little crazy. While they are leaving Morgan's neighborhood they come across a giant 2,000+ herd of zombies and it's crazy! They jump out of the car and run into this house and find things to distract the zombies with, and then they're gone. It was so intense. With all this shit going on I don't know why everyone is saying this is boring and slow now. It's action packed! I don't know why Dale doesn't trust Rick all of a sudden and it's really annoying. I have this gut feeling that Dale is going to die soon.
