When I saw something that was called a dragon shapeshifting firefighter omegaverse with mpreg I was like oh, that's weirdly specific. I had to go investigate. You know what? It was in fact just that weirdly specific. It might also be historical romance because everyone's got muskets? The worldbuilding here leaves a lot to be desired.

Anyway, the writing isn't great. Tells lots, shows little. Limited dialogue. The villain is comically over the type and probably hates friendship. But the characters are cute, and it's short enough that I didn't spend too much time digging into the world. I'll also thank them for keeping the butt birth very vague and off screen unlike a certain Miss Leta Blake I could mention.

Soot the cat is the highlight of the book and what might keep me reading.
