Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep

3.0

Unlike the first of the series this one's rating is the actual solid 3.

Okay, so the series did improve for me. Gwen wasn't as annoying as I once thought. Even though she did still pity herself and complain about her role as a champion, she did seem to grow up a little.

However, it was pretty predictable. The thing about Oliver? Called it. Who the reaper actually was? So freaking obvious. Sometimes I seriously wanted to yell at Gwen to open her freaking eyes since he was clearly right in front of her!!!!

Anyway, the things I liked about the book were the other characters. Oliver, Daphne, Carson, and even the little bit of Kenzie that appeared. They were great. And then there is Logan. Sigh. Why do authors have to make their boys jerks when they can't be with the girl? Why not just make the readers happy and let them be together!?! But then of course at the end he is awesome. I loved the shyness that was given to him and all of his vulnerability. Gah. He is just so perfect in that not perfect way :)

Overall, this one definitely improved my opinion of the series and I shall continue it.
