The Land Where Lemons Grow: The Story of Italy and its Citrus Fruit by Helena Attlee

informative slow-paced

3.75

A lovely, informative read that carefully follows citrus’ historical influence in Italy. It was slow, but certainly left an impression.  It left me wanting to harvest bergamot oil, float along the Riviera dei Cedri, eat a lemon slice salad in Amalfi, visit Ivrea and fight in the battle of oranges. I’m glad I read this, especially while on holiday in Sicily.
