The Letter Keeper by Charles Martin

4.0

Thank you Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for sending me the galley. My opinions are my own.
The Letter Keeper was a wonderful sequel to The Water Keeper. Charles Martin has such a beautiful descriptive writing style. His descriptions of locales make me feel like I am there. He is often labeled a Christian author. I’m not religious at all and find absolutely nothing overtly religious in this series besides Bishop and Bones being priests. I hope mystery readers do not feel put off by the label. In this sequel, Murph is once again trying to save kids from exploitation, there are many exciting chases and Gunner is of course a heroic dog. The bad guy ,whose identity we learn only in the last sentence, is particularly vile and out for revenge against Murph and his budding family. Kept me reading far later than I should and I made sure we stocked it at my store. Can’t wait for number 3!
