5.0

So we finally arrive to the second book in the Mythos Academy.

Sorry, ignore my little excited fangirling bit there. BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK. SO MUCH. Jennifer Estep, I am offically one of your biggest fans. You are a freaking goddess. I have not read such great urban mythic fantasy for so long. Or ever.

The stakes are higher than ever in Kiss of Frost- now that Gwen knows about the followers of Loki, and how she personally took care of Jasmine Ashton, things are a little shaky...

Espeically when Gwen start getting the feeling she's being watched....

and have a couple near death attempts.

I love the plot in this book- so much more exiciting with the slight elements of a mystery, Kiss of Frost is definitely a level up from Touch of Frost. The intensity, the events... everything combines together perfectly in this book. Everything is so mysterious- we learned SOME things from the end of Touch of Frost, but still a large amount is a mystery, then Kiss of Frost answers SOME, but raises even MORE questions to be answered. It's frustrating and amazing at the same time- it makes you want to read the next books EVEN MORE.

Gwen has definitely gotten much more mature and serious in this book- besides learning the truth, and beginning to start getting into a kick-ass herione role. She's learning to fight back, and developing some pretty awesome skills of her own. - she also learns about- you guessed it- BOYS.

Which brings us to Logan Quinn.

OMG. Logan. I could write a thousand paragraphes about how much I love you with all my heart.

Which is weird. Because you would think Logan is the typical YA boy that you run across- yet I find him so... atrractive and unique from the rest. I can't really explain why. This totally defies all logic. Then again, it's not like love ever follows logic, does it? XD Maybe because I have a thing for the blues eyes black hair combo with a little kick-ass bad boy who's actually super sweet through in? (Huh, maybe because he reminds me of Will from TID XD)

Logan makes you so happy, mad, frustarted and clutching your stomach all in one in this book. You're happy when he's with Gwen, you're mad and about to blow up in his face because he's still dating that Amazon (nope, can't even say her name without a frown on my face.) and you're frustrated because it's the perfect time for him to ditch that Amazon and finally tell Gwen how he feels.

Then again, that destroys the pupose of their romance and makes it less fun. :P

Then finally, you're clutching your stomach because:

SPOILERS AHEAD. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK. PLEASE.

1. The carnival. When Gwen got injured and how much he care. I was awwwwwwing for over a minute.

2. The part where he saw Gwen and Preston together. I was like : *shaking head* Now do you wish you told Gwen?

3. When he refuses to leave after seeing Gwen and Preston together. XD XD XD XD XD XD

4. When he and Gwen finally, finally,

KISS. (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAPPINESS SQUARED.)

5. When he got Gwen that snowflake necklace. *sniffs, eyes fill with tears*

6. When Gwen flashed on that necklace and discovered what he thought at that moment. *full out crying*

SPOILERS END

So yes, Logan Quinn. *sigh*

Daphne and Carson was such a cute couple to read in this book: they don;t mind having Gwen hanging along, and they are just so cute and funny to read about. And Daphne is totally awesome as a best friend.

Umm, so after that large amount on fangirling. I think you should read the book. :)

Like seriously. NOW PEOPLE. Pick up the pace here please.
