Review: Not So Truly Yours was PERFECTION! I have wanted Milesโ story since the beginning and was sucked into his romance with gusto. Him and Daisy were the definition of opposites attract, which Julia did phenomenally well! The struggles they each have were a center piece in their book but I found that the imperfections made their story more raw and real!
Miles was an enigma in this book. I was pleasantly shocked to see how dark his demons went and his past truly broke my heart as I read more in this book. His belief that nobody truly wanted him around hurt my heart and it was hard to see how oblivious his brother and the friend group was surrounding assets of Miles that made him a complex character. Seeing him overcome the demons of his past just showed how wonderful Daisy was for him and seeing her smother him with affection in her own unique way was beautiful to read!
Daisy was also a character that was unique for this series. I enjoyed how she was not an FMC in the original groups but also fit in fabulously. Julia was able to create her black cat persona in a way that matched and balanced Miles but also created a unique layer to her character. I enjoyed reading about her goals and her family. Seeing the way she was with her brother and then with how much she struggled with different aspects of mental health gave a lasting impression to her story which I LOVED.
Daisyโs and Milesโ romance was the most emotional read in this series for me by far. I appreciated how Julia depicted mental health and did not skipper it. I also LOVED how each MC had different struggles but they each brought out the best in the other. Seeing them become each otherโs anchors drew me in and I am sad that this is the end to the original four MMCs!
Rating: 100+, a sweet and swoon worthy redemption romance with the little brother of the friend group!
Thank you to Julia for sending me this ARC!
