The Least of My Scars by Stephen Graham Jones

4.0

The most disturbing book I’ve come across (so far).

It’s fun jumping into SGJ stories because they can be so different from each other. This one is extremely graphic and gory to the point I had chills running up my spine every so often. The extreme nature of the subject matter make it horror but the style feels like a neo-noir mystery told in reverse. You’re essentially inside the serial killer’s mind, knowing every trail of thought. These characters are not meant to be liked and that’s very obvious.

I listened to the audio version.

The twist near the end was satisfying.
Recommended to those who can stomach such intensely gory and explicit content.
