Ned by Susan May Warren
5.0
In true Susan May Warren fashion, this exciting story begins with a fast-paced race against time. I simply couldn't put it down!
Main characters, Ned and Shae, are returning characters from previous books. While this book reads well as a standalone, I enjoyed it more knowing their history, as I was able to cheer them on as a couple. Their romance is strong and sweet; I loved their devotion, their belief in each other and their connection. Ned's perseverance made him the perfect hero. He was skilled, determined and I loved his dangerous, impulsive edge. I saw the most growth in him as a character as he realized what he wanted most and relinquished his need for control. Shae is a driving force in this story. Her backstory was heartbreaking but her character was strong and resilient, which I loved.
There were so many heart-pounding moments in this story, that it left me breathless. I also loved the added bonus of the preview into the next story coming up, Iris. Iris and Hudson have already captured my heart as well and I can't wait for that book's release!
With deep faith threads, a strong family bond, protective alpha-heroes and independent, fierce heroines, this book thoroughly entertained me from beginning to end! It is clean, wholesome, exciting and edgy, thrilling and daring! Don't miss it!
* I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary e-copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own and I was not required to post a positive review.
