I'm not really sure why I read that! This kept popping up on BookTok recommendations for "read this if you want something disturbing!!" and I was like "okay, but how bad can it possibly be?" (It's really bad.) This book has entirely too many POVs and is an absolute maze of unreliable narrators and conflicting evidence. I'm not sure I understood all of it, I'm not sure it's possible to piece together every part of its mystery without losing your mind. At the same time, it's captivating. It's disgusting. It's one of my worst reading experiences and at the same time, it's fearless and transgressive. I'm going to go read Goodnight Moon and pretend like none of this happened.
