I did not enjoy this book. The characters were flat and uninspired, and the story was not interesting enough to carry though the weak characters. 
And that's not too mention my irrational annoyance at the use of the term "adrenal gland" from a character who is from ancient Greece. Yes, that's a nit pick, but when your readers start analysing the language used in your novel, I think that's a sign that something in the story and characters is significantly lacking.
