  • seiko is taken to the police station for ivestigation
  • seiichi is in shambles poor boy - has a wet dream and spirals more 
  • seiichi is summoned to the police station to tell the truth - there he hears that "he is his own person, separate from his mother, whatever he feels and sees, it's okay. he is his own person"
  • this leads to a realization that he has been his mom's shadow his entire life as the question "do you love this miserable mom of yours" troubles him
  • the next day, the detective reenacted the situation to to fortify seiichi's testimony about seiko pushing off shigeru off the cliff
  • during the reenactment, seiichi realises his momma dearest pushed him when he was the wee age of 3 off the way she pushed off shigeru - and finally realizes that the dead cat he has been seeing nightmares about was him all along
  • his beloved mother killed him and discarded him throughout his entire life
