seiko is taken to the police station for ivestigation
seiichi is in shambles poor boy - has a wet dream and spirals more
seiichi is summoned to the police station to tell the truth - there he hears that "he is his own person, separate from his mother, whatever he feels and sees, it's okay. he is his own person"
this leads to a realization that he has been his mom's shadow his entire life as the question "do you love this miserable mom of yours" troubles him
the next day, the detective reenacted the situation to to fortify seiichi's testimony about seiko pushing off shigeru off the cliff
during the reenactment, seiichi realises his momma dearest pushed him when he was the wee age of 3 off the way she pushed off shigeru - and finally realizes that the dead cat he has been seeing nightmares about was him all along
his beloved mother killed him and discarded him throughout his entire life
