This book is excellent. A lot of small press/self published/free Kindle books just aren't super good. They need editing, they're not well written, etc. That is not the case with this book. From the beginning this book grabbed me. I believed it. I cared about the characters and the story. This was also a pretty quick read. Just because it was a quick read doesn't mean the plot and characters weren't developed. The only slight complaint I have is that there was a point where I thought the author was going to develop the character of Matthew a little more and his doubts about Lisbeth, but then she didn't. I didn't think it detracted from the story though and so it's not even really a full complaint.
