Honestly I'm very surprised and not in a good way, I thought it could probably be because it's one of those old books but it's actually a book that was published this year, and I'm too shocked because to be completely and brutally honest, it's a bad book. 

I'm literally going to go point by point because I can't stop thinking about most of the reasons and probably when I publish it two days later I can remember things that I missed. 

Starting with the protagonists.

 • Hattie, I couldn't empathize with her, I'm very sorry but throughout the book much of what happened was caused by her, I've always loved the genre of misscommunication but the relationship with her brothers was complicated because at the beginning I could feel that they were pushing her away or avoiding her but then it was like they were probably right because they thought she was going to stay only for a few months so if it was like we know that you are going to help us but then you are going to leave and it was more complicated to get on her side because it I'm sorry but the hardest work was done by both Ryland and Aubree, there was no way for me to understand her. Every decision I make in the book has a consequence but the fact that she complained about them made her irritating as a character, I don't think she has any evolution, personal development or that she has learned a lesson, and I know it's nonsense but the fact THAT SHE DIDN'T FINISH A TASK AT HIS “JOB” WAS SO IRRITATING. I couldn't with her, I'm sorry. 

 • Hayes I didn't really feel like I did anything in the entire book until the end, honestly very hateful, there was a moment where I thought there couldn't be anyone 30 years old who acted that way but then I thought of course there is. 

I could never understand the other characters complemented the story, Maggie was a good friend but I had moments where I thought, I don't know if it makes me cringe or makes me uncomfortable, Aubree I never understood her role, Ryland is the only one that makes sense to me. Other characters didn't make a major impression on me and it's something that hurts me because I'm a secondary character person and the fact that in this story in general I could only love Ryland was quite depressing. 

 • I understand that the story revolves around the loss of Cassie but honestly it did not have an impact on me or provoke any reaction like in other books, from my point of view this does not add but it does subtract from the story. 

Therefore if we remove this the story can be completely lost. 

Without lying this is a book that I really didn't like and I can't think of anything other than Ryland that I like and that's depressing. The ugliest thing was that it was a book that I had hope for and I expected it to be a series or something like that but if not something by Ryland, I think we're fine. 

Honestamente estoy muy sorprendida y no de buena manera, pensé que probablemente podría ser porque es de esos libros viejos pero realmente es un libro que se publico en este año, y estoy demasiado en shock porque siendo completa y brutalmente honesta, es un mal libro. 

Literal me voy a ir punto por punto porque no puedo dejar de pensar acerca dela mayoría de las razones y probablemente cuando la publique dos días mas tarde me pueda acordar de cosas que me faltaron. 

Comenzando por los protagonistas 

 • Hattie, no pude empatizar con ella, lo siento mucho pero durante todo el libro gran parte de lo que ocurría fue provocado por ella, siempre eh amado el genero de mala comunicación pero la relación con sus hermanos fue complicada porque al principio si pude sentir que ellos la estaban apartando o evitando pero después fue como probablemente tengan razón porque ellos pensaba que se iba a quedar solo por unos meses entonces si era como sabemos que nos vas ayudar pero luego te vas a ir y fue más complicado ponerme de su lado porque lo siento pero el trabajo más pesado se lo llevaron tanto Ryland como Aubree, no había forma para mi que yo pudiera entenderla. Cada decisión que tomo en el libro tiene una consecuencia pero el hecho que ella se quejara de ellas hizo que fuera irritante como personaje, no creo que tenga ni una evolución, ni desarrollo personal o que haya aprendido una lección, y se que es una tontearía pero el hecho QUE NO TERMINARA NI UNA TAREA EN SU “TRABAJO” FUE TAN IRRITANTE. No pude con ella lo siento 

 • Hayes,Realmente no sentí que hiciera nada en todo el libro hasta el final, muy odioso sinceramente, había momento donde pensada no puede haber nadie de 30 años que actué de esa manera pero luego pensé claro que si lo hay. 

Los demás personajes nunca pude entender su armonía o como complementaban la historia, Maggie fue buena amiga pero tenia momentos donde pensaba, no se si me da cringe o me incomoda, Aubree nunca entendí su función, Ryland es el único que tiene sentido para mi los demás personajes, no causaron una mayor impresión en mi y es algo que me duele porque yo soy una persona de personajes secundarios y el hecho de que en esta historia en general solo pudiera amar a Ryland fue bastante deprimente. 

 • Comprendo que la historia gira entorno a la perdida de Cassie pero sinceramente no me causo un impacto o me provoco alguna reacción como en otros libros, desde mi punto de vista esto no suma pero si resta a la historia. 

Por lo tanto si quitamos esto la historia puede perderse completamente. 

Sin mentir este es un libro que realmente no me gusto y no puedo pensar en otra cosa aparte de Ryland que me guste y eso es deprimente. Lo más feo fue que era un libro al que le tenia esperanza y esperaba que fuera una serie o algo por el estilo pero sino es algo de Ryland creo que así estamos bien.
