I’m not good with poetry or what makes “good” poetry, but I know my final girls and this was a righteous tribute to them. The primary focus in this collection is trauma and I found so many fantastic lines that resonated. If you’re going to read any particular poem I’d probably suggest Laurie.

I also find the selection of movies the author chose to draw inspiration from very interesting? There’s definitely girls I was surprised didn’t get included but I was pleasantly surprised by just how broad a range there was. I feel like you’d probably get the gist regardless of if you’ve seen the films or not, but it was just a little added bonus for me.
