This book showed Mia's deeper side, and had her dealing with even more complicated problems, such as depression and change. Even though TPD is usually more light, I liked how Cabot added in darker themes. Also, Mia is still as hilarious, awesome and girl power-y as ever....loved the surprise at the end with Mia's ancestor, Amelie! Can't wait to finish the series...it will be bittersweet.
