Des (the Bargainer) & Callie (Callypso): Funny and Cute Couple!

I'd seen this book countless times in online book clubs and advertisements, but I never felt compelled to read it. Beng a new fan of Laura Thalassa and her writing style, I decided to take a chance. The plot seemed very interesting. I'm so glad that I did! This story is very entertaining.

Callypso (Callie) is a siren. At a young age, she finds herself in need of assistance from "The Bargainer", a supernatural being who grants wishes in exchange for a future favor to be cashed in upon his request. Lonely and seeking friendship, Callie establishes a relationship with The Bargainer out of loneliness. However, every time she calls upon him, another favor is added to her tally. She ends up owing over 300 favors to the Bargainer. After a brief disappearance, the Bargainer returns and he's here to cash in!

This story has funny moments and moments that will make you cry. Be forewarned that there plenty of violence and a cliffhanger at the end that will shock you. This is a well-crafted story that you should enjoy if you like paranormal romance full of creatures, magic, and a little mystery.
