Eight Cousins by Louisa May Alcott
3.0
Charmingly old-fashioned and pleasant. Angst-free.
I liked it but when I reached the middle, I become a tad bored. It felt preachy and some of the situations were milked for emotion. Rose was a bit too perfect, her imperfections incredibly miniscule. The roles assigned to women and men felt stifling, even though Uncle Alex was quite enlightened for his time.
