I read this book aloud to my 3rd grade class as our year wound down and it was such a hit! Even some of my reluctant readers got so into this book! I loved that it introduced my 3rd graders to classics like Alice in Wonderland and Anne of Green Gables. The vivid storytelling and adventures of Tilly and Oskar kept my students engaged and making wonderful predictions. The story aligned with our curriculum by providing lots of opportunities to discuss elements like problem and solution or cause and effect. I already had one students parent reach out in hopes of picking up book 2 for her daughter to read this summer!
